| Safe Drinking Water for University in Kenia
| First SuMeWa|SYSTEM at Taita Taveta University College in Voi
On the Campus of Taita Taveta University in Voi, Kenia a SuMeWa|TURB station was installed to serve the Campus with safe drinking water through several drinking water taps. The station has become necessary after a study conducted by the University and HTW Dresden has revealed pathogenic contamination of the water.
The station treats surface water that is collected in a nearby stream via media filtration and inline electrolytic induced water disinfection.
The stations equipment can also be used as part of the university teaching curriculum e.g. during practical trainings for solar electricity supply and water treatment.
